Environmental and climate-friendly action has long been a matter of course at Norddeutsche Kaffeewerke. Like many companies, we are constantly working to minimise our ecological footprint. We prefer to sharpen our ecological handprint even more. It documents what we have already achieved and can be continued indefinitely. Our positive balance sheet drives us.
But sustainability encompasses much more. In our supply and production chains, for example, we successfully pay attention to values such as humane working and living conditions. We understand that education and peace in the world also have a direct impact on NDKW. And our coffees.
Sustainable cultivation
The beans for our coffees come from mixed-crop plantations. This cultivation improves the climate, the soil and the yield - with less water consumption. Hand-picked and fairly traded, small coffee farmers and their local cooperatives also benefit.
Social competence
Our partnerships with women coffee farmers in many countries are an example of our strong social commitment. Gender equality is one of our essential goals. We also promote the professional, personal and health well-being of all the people who work for us.
